Applying
Anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer with the Citadel can apply by downloading an application form and a self declaration form. Interview
We will invite you in for a short informal interview.
The purpose of this interview is for us to find out more about you, such as:
- What skills and experience you have
- Why you are interested in volunteering with us
- What you hope to gain from volunteering
- What your level of understanding is around child protection procedures
- What your level of commitment is
We will also give you some more information about us, such as:
- Some background information about the Citadel
- The range of services we offer and more about our service users
- The role of volunteers
- The training and support we offer to volunteers
- Time commitment
- Information about how we will take up references and police checks
References and disclosure
Because of our commitment to keeping young people safe (see Our policies) we always take up at least two references, and we ask people to disclose any criminal convictions they may have.
We will ask you to complete a Disclosure Scotland form if you are successful in your application to become a volunteer. (see www.disclosurescotland.co.uk for more information).
