Volunteering - with Young People | or on our Board of Directors
Volunteers are the bedrock of the Citadel's service. We always need more volunteers to work with children and young people in our youth clubs. We provide training and support and will offer you an experience you'll never forget!
Volunteering with young people
We are always looking for people who:
- Really enjoy being with children and young people
- Are reliable, enthusiastic and committed
- Are open minded, non judgmental and respectful
- Have a sense of humour and are open to trying new things
We do not require people to have any experience of working with children and young people.
Working in our youth clubs is really fun and you can choose which age group you would like to work with. We currently run five different youth clubs:
- Junior Club - for children who are 6-9 years old
- Intermediate Club - for young people who are 10-12 years old
- Girls Club - for girls who are 10-13 years old
- Young Women's Club - for young women who are 14 plus
- Teen Zone Drop-in - for young people who are 13-19 years old
Our clubs run during school terms for 10 weeks per term.
Check the links on the right to find out how to get involved!

- Knowledge of the local community
- Knowledge of young people and commitment to youth services
- Confident to express views and ask questions to ensure our services are the best they can be
